Bentley Blower to Return to Racing

The first in Bentley’s Blower Continuation Series – known as Car Zero – is set to invoke its ancestry by racing in a series of events throughout 2023. Alongside the Blower Continuation Series, created specifically for racing, customer cars have also been invited to compete.

March 28, 2023
Blower Continuation Series Car Zero is competing in the 2023 race programme. The events are scheduled from April to September in the UK, France and Belgium. Car Zero has already completed the 380-mile test validating the entire automobile at race pace.
Modifications to allow Blower Car Zero to race competitively have been minor, and primarily safety-related. They include the installation of a rain light, wing mirrors, towing points, a fire extinguisher and a battery isolation switch. The car now also holds an Historic Technical Passport (HTP), which certifies it as eligible to compete in FIA-sanctioned events for historic vehicles.
93 years after Tim Birkin’s Team Car #2 competed at Le Mans (and elsewhere), Car Zero will assume the original Blower’s mantle and race to win – including at the Circuit de la Sarthe – making it the first Bentley works car to race at Le Mans since the Speed 8 was victorious there in 2003.
